A graduate of Indiana University, Mia's education includes a BA in Criminal Justice and extensive classical vocal study at the School of Music. Her career began in advertising and, as a former Account Executive, Mia has a unique perspective of the creative process and can instinctively understand a client's needs.
A member of both SAG and AFTRA since 1993, Mia has done numerous TV and radio commercials. Among her favorites are McDonald's, THE Chicago Cubs, and 7-11.
In 2014 she became active with the SAG-AFTRA Senior Radio Players and has performed in many shows. Among them are The Striptease and the Space Warp, The Thin Man, Baby Snooks and the Ugly Duckling, Stage Door, Our Miss Brooks, The Blood Money Caper, and Jack Armstrong: The All American Boy.
Mia is a regular radio player and director with Improv Playhouse in Libertyville, IL, and became a member of the "Unshackled!" family in 2016 (ep. 3413A).
In addition to keeping her skills sharp with radio shows, Mia performs Musical Theater in venues around the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. To date, her most favorite roles are Madame de la Grande Bouche in "Beauty and the Beast," and Louisa in "The Fantasticks."
